Why take the Sex Ed Voter Pledge:
No matter where we live or who we love, polls consistently show that most of us want kids to receive high quality sex and relationships education at school. We know that this education protects children against abuse and harassment, helps them develop healthy relationship skills, and improves their social and emotional learning, media literacy, and academic performance.
But right-wing extremist organizations are pouring money into a campaign to undermine public school sex education. These are the same people that are trying to erase Black history from the curriculum, banning books they don’t like, and targeting the rights of trans students. They’re willing to throw an entire generation under the bus in order to consolidate their own power.
If you join us, we can stop them. All it takes is your vote. By pledging to prioritize quality, inclusive sex education at the ballot box, you become part of the no-longer-silent majority that has always supported public school sex ed. Together, we can beat back the right-wing assault on our public schools, protect the rights of the vast majority of parents. And we can make our schools a place where every child can get the education they need to truly thrive.
Thank you for using your vote to speak up for sex education! We can’t wait to connect.
